Hello,
I have to say thank you for you sorrow because I have 2 people missing in
new york city.
amy
May god bless your soul!
Dear Chazhound,
Don't worry about the next updates being funny. Everybody is in shock over yesterday's horror-movie event. My husband was there when the North Tower got hit. He watched the flames and then the smoke. He was trying to get out of the city when it collapsed but, of course, so was everybody else and all transit was stopped. I was lucky because he got home last
night. My heart goes out to the people trapped in the debris, calling for help on the cell phones, and the help that may never come. So take all the time you need to get over the shock and outrage and anything else. We appreciate your fun pages and will understand if you
don't feel funny right now.
Just remember....the cowards are caught.....they are going to pay the consequences......
God is going to take care of that!!!!!
Thank you for having the discernment to know that most of us wouldn't be needing or wanting our daily joke fix. Any of the regular funny sites I get daily that didn't mention the tragedy, got instantly
discarded. It's too bad, but out of 8 sites, only 2 of you had the guts to do the right thing.
Thanks, and may God bless you.
I was really touched by your words and thoughts and I just wanted to say that all of us are feeling the same and that we are all supporting one another right now in this time of need and I agree with you that these cowards need to be brought to justice and the healing will begin.
Thanks for your nice thoughts and prayers
It is sad to notice that the miserable deaths of the victims in the US accident were celebrated by some people around the world.Come what may, but those who died were human beings. No religion teaches to celebrate the deaths of innocent people.

Its good to know that you have a feeling for the tragedy. Thank you for the caring statement and prayers.
May God Bless you.

It's hard to feel funny today. Your message was what I too would wish to send everyone.
Chin up to all of us.
Vicky
The way the American people pull together in times such as these, truly touches my heart. One can never imagine what people who have lost loved ones, and the ones who were in those planes, the towers, the pentagon, and all others are feeling. My heart is with you, as well as my prayers and
thoughts.
God Bless You,,,,,,,,Julie
I watch all your funny pop's every day, and today you made me feel so good to know you took time out for all the
bad things thats hapened to all of us and for you to do this makes me feel you are the greatest. I appriciate it and also have the same feelings that you do.
Thank you a friend - luella
Please do not apologize for having respect for the loss of lives of so many. It is better to know that there are many out there that has love and compassion in them. Some of the sites that I get have trash on them today and that hurts to know that people are so self centered that they cannot realize that something terrible has happened to out country and we need to gather together to pray and cry not to sit and look and read jokes.
Thanks for the compassion that you have shone.
Thanks for the chance to say Prayers for our great country. America will prevail. All here on the net prayed yesterday ALL DAY helping each other, giving support, and just being close to friends.
Thanks for being here with us...
In my 46 years I thought I had seen the worst that man could do. I was wrong. Yesterday's tragedy hit me very hard and left alot of confusing feelings. I'm so sad, so confused, so scared and so very angry. I live in NW FL - we have the largest air force base and other bases around. We have the Pensacola navy base. I work for the largest defense company in this area. This just as well could have happened here. I cannot even begin to know how the people in the affected areas feel. But I do feel for them all. I am praying for all.
Carol
I too am not feeling anything funny today. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings of sorrow towards the tradegy of yesterday. I think this is just the beginning of a long list of tragedies as we the United States of America "MUST" begin to retaliate against our attackers. There are planes being taken by terriortist, ships being bombed and President Bush must now show where his heart is and what he stands for as the President of the largest Free nation. I think that we as Americans have fought against each other in the name of religion, and/or prejudice far too long and now we must all stand for our country regardless of race, creed or religious
beliefs or there may come a day when this great nation is totally under seige.
God bless us all!
I wouldn't feel funny today either or for awhile I put my flag out side at half mass like they do at the postoffice and every where else in memory of those who lost their life's in NY.
My heart-felt sympathy goes out to all the family, friends and innocent bystanders, as well as to the family and friends of the police officers and firemen that are missing , hurt or dead. This is the worst thing I've ever witnessed. I do hope that justice is brought to these people. There are some
children who don't know where their parents are and that is such a horrible thing for them right now. I do pray those pakestaninans will stop rejoicing because they must realise that those innocent people are dead and they still alive. They don't know how they're life will end. It might end better or the same or worse. But those people didn't deserve to die that way for no reason.
Don't worry about it. The intent is there and that's all that matters. I devoted 30 years of my life to the military. Desert Storm was my last quarrel. It makes me sick of how so many of my friends gave their blood overseas so that our country man and women would be safe from this.
Chris
We don`t feel very funny either. The one thing I do know is if we want this thing to stop we need to return back to god and pray for our nation .
I am in Australia, love your funnypops, and my heart goes out to all Americans after this tradgedy, as do most of Australia's hearts, we are very closely affiliated with you and I have dear friends in the US, all of whom I'm glad to say are okay.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.
I believe I can speak for most that we share your sorrow for what has happened and anger towards the perpetrators, whomever they turn out to be. My hope is that in spite of this tragedy that it will strengthen our bonds and unite our causes. United we stand, divided we fall and in God we trust.
Don't worry about it. With one son in the Navy and worried about all the poor souls in New York our feelings are exactly the same. PEACE&LOVE
I generally do a thought for the day at my place of business and I try to make them light and short; however as you said, today wasn't the day. Thank you for the chuckles you provide now and again - afterall laughter is the "best" medicine.
Yeah I know wot u mean about the tragic events of the day.... I don't usually repy to these things but was reading your message and just wanted to say that my heart goes out to those that have lost....
Hi,
I just wanted to thank you for your concideration regarding this Terroristic attempt to bring down the american people. God be with us all. I pray that God be with those people who were killed and for the many people that have lived through this terrible time. We are a strong people and we recieve our strength from God and He will never let us down. This
is a terrible thing to happen, and I pray that it will bring the American people together.Thank you again for your sincerity and compassion.
In continued prayers,
Janet
I am a subscriber to your newsletter and have just received todays. I cannot begin to imagine the absolute horror that people all over America are feeling just now, especially those in New York and Washington. I cried as I watched the news last night and I am sure that I will cry again over the next few
days. I just wanted you to know that, even in a wee corner of Scotland, the people all over the USA are in my thoughts and I will pray for them all.
God Bless
Alison
I think what they have done to your country is absolutely terrible. I would just like to say, as an Australian, that we all have our deepest sympathy's for the American people. My high school all attended a special ceremony and kept the people hurt, in our prayers. I hope you know that I'm sure Australia will always help your country in any crisis. I have America in my prayers
I give out a huge prayer to those who lost their lives. I have a very special person who lives in N.Y. It scared me so bad when I heard the news.I tried calling and I could not get through. Finally I did, and he is okay.
It was a very scary day {11-09-2001}. Hearts are broken, feelings are
confused, angery, and in those who still can not believe. May god be with us in this terrible situation and help us heal.
I pray for everyone who is suffering, who now does not feel secure, and those who are gone. I believe that each and everyone will become stronger,
and will be greater then before.
For now lets hug and kiss the people we love, that are right by our side. And have faith that we will catch those heartless people.
My heart also goes out to all of those whom were victims to those cowards. I have family who worked there & thanx to God came out alive but r in a state of shock. I also have family who are out there whom are police officers and other government workers risking their lives saving others at this very
moment. I am very proud of all whom are out there & I give my heart out to them & am
praying for them. May God Bless Them All & may those cowards be brought to Justice.
I not only hope they are caught, but that they pay ...make them pay and then give them some more. Make an example out of these people!!! How dare they do this to us??? How dare they use our own vessels against us to tear our heart and soul. We won't let them win we will carry on as best we can. we pray for all those who have been struck down by this inhumane gutless act. We pray their souls rest with God. Americans everywhere and at heart have to stick together through this, we must not let this divide our nation for it is together that we stand, and remain mighty. Let us reclaim our might and not let their animalistic subhuman terror humiliate and degrade us.
God bless America and Americans
Thank you for sending a little humor to us on a very sad day in the United States of America.
God Bless you.
Thank you for sending a little humor to us on a very sad day in the United States of America.
God Bless you.
Why bother sending anything out at this time. What is our world coming to for such a tradegy to happen. I can't go to sleep just thinking about what has happen & just knowing that my husband is stranded in another state & can't get home unless he drives for 2 days.
This message was not lame. It showed your heart.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
You don't have to apologise for your sadness today. We Australians are all thinking and praying for you.
Regards
Eileen
Chazhound,
Now is not the time for jokes...it's a time for prayer and forgiveness...all Americans need to ban together and show support for President Bush in his efforts to catch these terrorists!
Funny does not describe the way I feel this morning. Thanks for trying.
I know what you mean about nothin being funny today, my heart goes out to all the familys that lost loved ones as it also goes out to evey one there. They will be in my prayers.
sincerly
oya
We r together on this one ............
We really just need bland humor for awhile--Everyone can smile at a little animal humor ( the dog and cat ones are my favorite).
Nicki
I've been so pleased that most of the fun sites have seen fit to not do very much today.. I live in Australia and believe me we are so affected by the events that have happened in your country. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.>br>Sincerly.
I concur with your thoughts as I believe that your other followers here in Australia do also.
Hello funny pop,
Good morning and how are you? I read your mail and my prayer is that the lord will console the affected families in Jesus name amen.
Have a nice day.
AJOKE.
You don't need to apologize for not being funny, because of this tragedy that struck basically the entire nation, and then some, i don't think anyone feels that funny now. I have no relatives at all in the area
that got struck but i feel dumbstruck inside over what has happened. Its just terrible what has happened and makes me sick and I also hope whoever responsible gets punished severely.
I understand I don't feel to funny myself. So take care and may God Bless.
We are all in awe and stunned and if the rock hit you, a train hit me! We must keep the faith and prayers going because this all that we have..
talk to you soon... leandra
To all Americans...our hearts and thoughts...are as one tonight..from your brothers and sisters...and extended family..we mourned your loss with our lights on today..only a small way of showing our respect...and black bands around our arm...and in our hearts...
from Aussie...
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your pages. Don't apologize for todays jokes no one expects life too be funny all the time. You are doing a great job.
None of us felt like a funny either. Appreciate your trial at funny.
There is no reason to be funny, after the tragedy this Country of ours suffered yesterday.
Thank you!!!!!! for having the compassion and respect for the family, friends and loved ones of the people that were lost in yesterdays distaster. My son and I like to have a joke each day before we go off to work. But what happen yesterday, was not a joke! Or even a prank. There are some people around us,(even Americans) that are not respectful of others, whether it be life or property as we all can see.
Thank you again, and keep up the good work.
Hi,
That's okay. no one today feels very funny today. It is a very sad thing that happened, and it didn't have to happen. Like you said, they are very cowardly people to have done this, but why did they have to take innocent people with them to die? Why couldn't they have just killed themselves?
I think it was great that the web world has taken a day a way from telling jokes and stories and remembering those that lost their lives. It may have happened in NY but it happened in allour hearts. I want to
express my gratatude to the staff at funnpop for being so kind hearted. My prayers go out to each and everyone that had family in NY and aboard the four planes. Thanks guys for being so thoughtful.
Sharon, Idaho
Please pray for America
Thank you
Dear Funnypop
Yesterday being September 11th, 2001. I recieved a call from my neighbour and she had told me that the Trade Centre had been hit with a plane. I was devastated along with the rest of the world!!! I turned on my TV to find out what had happened at that point another plane had hit and than another on the pentagon!!! The tears came rolling down my face for
the innocent people that were gone and the families of the victims!!!!
I am a Canadian and my heart and soul is with the Americans right now!!!! This could have happened to any country in the world and this is something that the whole world will never forget as
long as they live!!! I can't even imagine what these friends, families, relatives of these people what they are going through!!!! Who ever has done this is definitely got to pay for this one and I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way!!! If God is
watching and listening Please these people have got to pay for what they have done!!!!
For the Americans: MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALLLL OF YOU!!!!
PLEASE TAKE CARE ALLLLLLLL OF YOU!!!!!!!!
I am such a novice with my computer and have never written to the card sites that I have subscribed to. I have chosen perhaps 8 sites (I am so enjoying the cards and the clever minds that put them together) and I thank you for this pleasure in my life, but on reading your intro to how you were not feeling very funny today, I thought "good for you, neither am I". I must credit you and my other sites (whom I should write to also) for being so honest, so compassionate and a good American. I base this on reading your simple but powerful opening sentence. Better days are ahead of us and we still live in the greatest country... keep up the good work.
Sincerely;
Molly
Just wanted to say hi, and offer sympathy to all. everyone is affected by this tragedy. The company my brother-in-law works for has its head office in the wtc,and a co-workers sister may have perished there too. she works there and was supposed to be there at the time of this disaster.
Thank you for your outlet.

Dear Funnypop,
I want to offer my support and prayers. This is such a terrible, dark and evil attack on us, the Americans, and I pray that our country's leaders will take a stand! My heartfelt prayers, and sympathy go out to all those who have in any way been affected by this horriffic terrorist attack on our nation.
Hi. My name is Tiffany.
I don't know exactly what to say, except my deepest thoughts, and prayers go out to the victims and their families. I'm still in complete shock! I still feel like this is all a real bad nightmare. I keep thinking, I'll wake up sometime, and this will all go away. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. My deepest thought, and prayers will continue for all those touched by this tremendous tragedy.
I thought I would try to cheer myself up by looking at my e-mail pages of funny and humorous items. However I do not feel very funny today either.
littleneff
Thank you, for giving me a reason to smile in spite of what has happened in the world. I think we all need to appreciate our fellow man, so that hate doesn't have a place to grow. I just wanted you to know, that I appreciate what you do. God bless you, and take care in these strange
times.
God Bless you for caring. !!!
Patti
I read your message and i'm feeling like you are too. I live in KS and I send blessings to you sweet heart too.
love, bella
I feel the need to share this with u ... a very long time ago before any war had broken out I think..there was a great philospher who made a prediction here it is.:
Brothers will fall, the fortress will be attacked and a 3rd war will
start when the city is in flames.
I aslo feel the need to tell you that I live in Virginia and my dad used to work inside the pentagon. His office is now destroyed or where it used to be at least. My next door neigbor was in the pentagon at the time but on the opposite side, and one of my horse back
riding instructors brother is the pilot for the plane that was hijacked from dulles. Lucky this berother was on his time off. This tragedy has struck a lot of people and my friend in California has a friend who has a brother and their dad works in the world trade center and they believe his might be dead. I don't know how this has affected you, but it has affected my community greatly. But I must say I think that whoever did this is going down and
they should be very afraid.
Please urge your subscribers to fly our flag as a show of solidarity, and out of respect for those who were injured or lost their lives.
I opened my email this morning to find so many pages dedicating the day to all those who lost their life yesterday. It really warmed my heart to find that I was not alone in my feelings.
I'm sure nobody wants to read anything funny anyway, so it's OK.
I gave blood yesterday at my nearest red cross site, but the nurse doesn't think that they will have enough donations. how about putting about a suggestion urging people to go donate blood at their nearest red cross on your next mailing?
thanx
Thank you for your comments. I think our entire nation is feeling the shock, and not quite ready for funnies.
The words to describe how I feel are words i've said to my friends, neighbors and children.sympathy, sadness and sorrow. I only hope and pray that our president has the strength and wisdom to get the terrorists
and dispose of them immediately and completly for now I feel anger, hate and revenge.
We in the state of Utah have united to light a candle outside wherever you are at 7:00 p.m. Mountain time Friday stop your car, step outside.. hopefully this may be passed on for everyone to join us!!!!
It was very sad! We need to pray for those loved one`s lost. This world is really getting in bad. I myself, my husband, and my son, but could please pray for him he's is 21 and lives in Indiana. Please pray for us all. Thank you very much.
Strangely peculiar how I stand at my kitchen window at the front of my so comfortable home and look out to see a world that looks very much as it did yesterday. "Tree", which was house high when we moved here is now at least twice as tall as that, with the sweet birdhouse that a young ,former student gave me after I survived a near-fatal car accident; the beautiful green yard, so lovingly cared for by "Joe", the always-there street; my neighbors homes--- neighbors who give me much comfort in times of distress; sunshine; blue sky... All very much as it was yesterday. Yet, we will never, ever be the same.
We have this comfort:
God promised "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU"!
Lame is appropriate today. Thank you for the email. God Bless you and yours.
Patti
We find it amazing that there even is a joke anywhere today. I, for one would have understood if I opened my mail and saw a note that said NOT TODAY. As a Canadian and nieghbour of the U.S., I too was shocked to see what unfolded before me on the t.v. yesterday. I cannot even begin to imagine the devistation that the people involved have gone through and will go through. My prayers are with all of you and I truely hope that the people (I use that word very loosly) who did this are found and punished to the fullest. God hates a coward.
Linda
Dear Funnypop,
Thank you for your sensitivity!
WHIT
My name is Cinda, and I live in north central Minnesota.
When I turned on my television yesterday morning, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I felt sick, angry, and scared, all at the same time. No way could this really be happening. How could it? Who would do such a horrible thing to so many innocent people? New York seems far away from our sleepy little town, but it all reality, it is not. We have joked in the past about how we would just take to our deerstands and defend our land against any attackers, but never really thought the possibility of war was even close. We are new parents to a baby girl, born on August 25th. What kind of world did we bring her into? My 12 year-old son talked about how they all watched everything at school on television. I really don't have anything to say that is different from anyone else, except, maybe, that our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims, and that we support retaliation.
My Dear Country:
I watch as you weep for the loss of so many lives destroyed by strangers to our people. They used our resources against us yesterday to try to destroy our way of Life. Let us join together and pray for our fallen, for the relief of our suffering, and for the chance to regain our equilibrium and go on with Living. The Ones we have lost would want this...don't let these faceless enemes of our Country win...hold your heads high...You are Ameicans!!!!!
Dorothy
With every thing going on in the country today I really have no reason to complain about my life. But this is a hell of a way to start a new year of my life. My birthday was sept 10, and I promised myself that I wasn't going to let anything get me down this year, then we have some , excuse my "ism", towel headed, low life decides to go and blow the hell out of my, well our, country.
It is hard to beleive that the pettiness of one man can bring practally a whole world to its knees. My world is at a stand still even today. You see, if we go to war I along with others will loose almost their enitre family. See I came from a military family and I married into a military family with belifes we should stand up for ourselves and don't let anyone push us around. I hate to say it but I hope we do go to war. The emeny should and will be punished, if not by us then by God!
Susie
I do think that the whole world was at a stand still in regards to the horrendous events which took place in New York City and Washington yesterday. They will be caught and will pay dearly for their actions.
Keep those funnies coming.
I just wanted to say what an encouraging thing you are doing by just writing your feelings about the tragedy that has struck our nation!
-Michaela
This is just a quick note to all of our dear friends & members in the USA...
I want you to know that I spent my 1 & 1/2 hr. Drive home from my Dr. appointment, praying for all of you & since I got back home, my time has been spent crying for you. I want you to know that I am so deeply saddened for all of you & you are my top priority in my prayers. May God bless you each one & keep you safe. Keep your chin up & hope in your hearts that this matter will be resolved quickly. I live in Ghana, but, have many dear friends in the great country of America & will hold you all close to my heart & try to think of each one individually & how you must be affected by this attack.
Our deepest thoughts go to those who have met with personal sorrow this day. My time will be spent praying for you all... Let's all of us who are not in the USA say special prayers for our friends who are.
God bless you & God bless America !
I send ^j^ ^j^ to watch over you...
Love...Desmond
I salute you for expressing your feelings, feelings that all of us are experiencing, we are human and compassionate .... no need to be funny right now, we need to pray for our Country and our Leaders to do the right thing.....QUICKLY!! Stop these terrorists!!
Sending love and concern for us all,
Judy
Thank you very much and none of us really feel like much either. Thank you and god bless you all.
Have a good day, bye now
Your wonderful site is helping many who need to get away from the harshness of the NY tragedy and given a
small ray of sunshine in their day...thanks
Dear Chazhound,
It isn't surprising that you don't feel "funny" today or any other day in the near future.
There aren't any words to discribe what has happened to America. I can only imagine how people in the United States and Canada feel today. The families looking for their loved ones and not knowing whether they are alive or dead. The dead beats that do this kind of thing are not human. My prayers are going out to all these people. I am also going to phone
the number given to make an appointment to donate blood and also send a donation to the Canadian Red Cross in care of the relief efforts for New York City and the Pentagon. This is a very small helping hand on my part I know but I hope others across Canada will do the same.
Thanks.
Sydney
Hi... I just thought that I should let you know that even though you didn't really feel like being funny as you said, you still put a smile on my face. I think at a time like this, it's the best thing for people right now.
Thanks,
Mandi
Hi, just wanted to reply to the statement you made about yesterday.. You shouldn't feel as if you had to be funny despite the tragedy yesterday and for those who don't understand oh well I guess they have no consience. I don't know to many people who felt in a funny mood today but Thank-you for
trying. Be blessed & hug your family as tight & for as long as you can :)
Jennifer
Hi,
Just wanted you to know I feel the same way about the tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who lost loved ones. May God have his way in all that pursues.
doveinflight
This web site is great i luv it.
This has stunned America--how terrible
-It hit a lot of people .i hope the catch them too. My prayers are with all the people who lost loved one yesterday. There are no words to express how I feel. I've been watching the news all the way. We have our flags at half mass here in Halifasx, NS
I am very suprised that you said that! You are such a nice person!
thanx- Adrian
Thanks for expressing your thoughts about the terrible day of sept 11, 2001
In light of everything that has happened, I assure you that a lot of us do not even want to see any funny sights today, it is all to devestating, especially for those whose loved ones are still unaccounted for.
Our prayers go out to all of them.
It is very sad what has happened and everyone and everywhere are in my prayers. Our hope is in Christ Jesus in our time of trouble. If we just call on Him to guide us and lead us he will direct our paths. He is here to comfort us if we just call on him. He loves us so much that he gave his life for us, John 3;16. The most important thing is that we know Jesus as our Savior cause this is just a climps of what will come to pass so be ready
Let me join you in this sorrow, the cowardly act of the highest stupidity ever experienced in the history of mankind. Let the law of Moses be applied in this respect, tooth for tooth, eye for eye. We have been patient enough. Enough is enough.I am more than downhearted.
OK, I'm a man of few words so here is 1 name and 1 word to describe how I feel about what happened Tuesday!!
Bin Laden
DEAD!!!!!
That would make alot of people happy right now!!
